Our Khols store is always selling a book with a plush Toy character from the story. I did not realize that they had the Wizard of Oz with a plush Toto. My Mom's friend saw it there and bought it for me! :)) I thought it was soo nice of her to think of me. :) The book is very nicely illustrated with bright and colorful interpretations of Baum's characters!!

Oz the Great and Powerful
Oz the Great and Powerful came out on DVD Tuesday!! We went and bought it that afternoon and it has a lot of cool special features on it!! Definitely worth it to get it in Blu-Ray. :)
70th Anniversary Oz PEZ Dispensers
This is a set of unique PEZ Dispensers, that depict all the main characters from the movie. They came out in 2009 as part of the 70th Anniversary line of merchandise. My mom bought them for me at Kroger, and I think that they are a very cool item that needs to be in everyone's Oz Collection!!!!

Salt and Pepper Shakers
Our local Hospital's gift shop has always carried wizard of oz items, but I hadn't been in a really long time....that's a good thing. :)) During spring break my mom took me over there to look at their stuff. An employee said that they had just gotten their biggest shipment of Wizard of Oz stuff ever and that we had come at the right time. My mom and I decided that we really like these salt and pepper shakers so she bought them for me. :) They are new this year.
How To: Wicked Witch light switch plate
**Materials**
Mod Podge
Exacto Knife
Paper
Printer
Foam Brush
Step 1: Choose a picture from google that you like (Type in W of O light switch plate to get best results.)
Step 2: Copy and paste it to word or what ever document program you choose.
Step 3: Take off your light switch plate and get out a piece of printer paper.
Step 4: Size your picture to your light switch plate by putting the plate on the printer paper and comparing because if you put the plate up to the screen to size it, it won't match when it prints, which you can always cut some off.
Step 5: Print your picture
Step 6: Cut out space for light switch, I suggest using an exacto knife, but scissors will do.
Step 7: Use Mod Podge and put it on the back and stick it to the plate and then put Mod Podge on the front too.
Step 8: Let dry (will dry clear, applies white)
Step 9: Go over it again with Mod Podge if need be *optional*
Step 10: Put it back on the wall and enjoy!!! :))

Claw Machine Plush Dolls
At the grocery store one day when i was a little kid, I saw wizard of oz dolls in the claw machine and I really wanted them!!! There happened to be a lady there who is one of those claw machine masters! She told us that she would win me one if I wanted, we put in the money and I chose Glinda. Sure enough she won it for me!! My mom has multiple good friends that work at the grocery store and one of them knew the guy that stocked the claw machine, and she got the rest for me! I also got all the Shrek ones the same way. :)
Department 56 Haunted Forest
Another item I received for Christmas was this neat figurine of the four on their way to kill the wicked witch of the west. Of course before they can get any farther than the sign…the witches flying monkeys capture Dorothy and toto! (One of my favorite parts)
It's Department 56 and dated 2004.

OZ Puzzle
I got this 2000 piece puzzle for Christmas. My mom and I started on it mid-February and finished during spring break at the beginning of April. We Mod-Podged it, glued it to big poster board and hung it up on my wall. It's a 34 by 42 1/2 inch puzzle....it took awhile but it was well worth it!!! :)

More Chistmas
I had seen these set of four glasses online and instantly wanted them. This is another item I received for Christmas.
New Ornaments for Christmas
I love any ornament that moves!! One of the ornaments I got for Christmas is the Witch Melting ornament from 2004. You plug it's chord into a light socket, and as soon as I got it I plugged it up....and......it didn't work!!! I was very disappointed.....but when I brought all my stuff upstairs to my room I plugged it into a set of multicolored lights I had and.....it worked!!!!
I also got an ornament that is the Witch and Nikko (head flying monkey) gazing into the crystal ball. You plug that one Into a light socket too and the crystal ball flashes. It's dated 2001.
I also received another one from the 2012 collection. That one is the great and powerful wizard of OZ when he is discovered "Behind the Curtain." His panels light up and play pretty much the whole scene.

OZ the Great and Powerful
Who else is excited for the new Oz Movie??? I know I am!! At the beginning of this week I bought two of the five dolls that came out from Disney. I was watching Entertainment Tonight and they showed them so I got online and Bought Glinda and Oscar (OZ)! The other ones available are China Girl, (which I got a miniature one with Oz), Evanora, and Theodora. I hope to get those in the future. I did not see the Wicked Witch of the West. But I do know they have her as part if another doll set. :)
Winkie Guard
This ornament is new and came out last year as part of the 2012 collection. It was a limited time quantity ornament...and let me tell you, they went fast!!! It's a good thing my mom bought it for me at the beginning of the summer!!!

:) :) :)
This ornament is called Miss. Gulch. Its painted in Sepia Tones, and has Toto hanging out the basket on the back of her bike. When you press the button on the side you here the music that you heard on the movie when she was on her way to the Gale Farm house. I got it for Christmas from my Great Aunt. :)
P.S. sorry the pictures are sideways :( I can't find how to fix it.
I'm Back!
Hey sorry it's been a while! Been busy and haven't gotten around to posting. In the next few post I will show you some ornaments I got for Christmas!
